We’re seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our client’s team in Norwest, NSW. Playing a key role in their manufacturing operations, this position involves MIG and TIG welding, steel fabrication, and interpreting technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding, including steel fabrication.
- Read and interpret complex specifications, drawings, prints, and welding symbols.
- Plan, layout, and execute diversified work, including short-run production and custom fabrication.
- Set up and operate machinery in the factory.
- Conduct periodic maintenance on production machines.
- Assist with product assembly when required.
- Process production documentation in the ERP system as needed.
- Work independently and ensure all tasks meet safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience, including aluminium welding and steel fabrication.
- Ability to read drawings and operate fabrication equipment, machinery, and measuring tools.
- Experience with laser cutting or brake press machinery is advantageous.
- Basic MS Office proficiency.
- Willingness to obtain forklift license.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Full working rights in Australia.
